i have a widget on homepage to show popular news with a setting of sort order which is “Popluar (all time)”.
if i change it to “last 7 days” and i can make sure the theme counter is enabled.
the widget shows empty news.
how to fix it? thank you

Please provide a link to your page to inspect this issue. Also please check that your posts date do no exceed 7 days. If they do exceed that is you issue.

The popular post sorting requires this option to be active in the theme panel

Once you activate that setting the theme will start counting the views posts get. For this to happen the post views have to be active – http://prntscr.com/nli2rx
Posts should begin to appear in the block after doing this.
Also please make sure that you set the last version of child, also please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
