Hello,
http://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/
I tried this plugin but it does not work with widgets theme.
it works with widgets wordpress and bbpress.
if anyone can help me it would be nice ! Thanks !
I’ve installed the plugin, and adjusted settings of the plugin to various variations and it just doesn’t work. Once I “View Source” I don’t even see the <li> tags in the source code even though they are defined in the functions.php
I have tried disabling all other plugins and only running the theme, no luck. Do you have a URL where it is installed and working with this theme? I’m curious to see the markup that it’s outputting.
Hello,
Here is a client that use it.

Thanks
Thanks! That does help. If you view the source on the page you posted you will see that it contains <aside> tags. I believe those reside in the functions.php file.
However if you view the source of your demo located at http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/strong-growth-and-engagement-across-our-community/ it is missing those aside tags. My site is also missing those <aside> tags. I wonder if this is the issue?
The plugin developer states that before widget should contain <li id=”%1$s”> I would imagine it could also be ID’ed in the aside tag as well. I tried doing a complete clean install. WordPress 3.7.1 then the theme, and then the plugin, and it does not work. I will keep poking around and see if anything jumps out. If you notice anything let me know!
Thank you!
I dug a little deeper and it definitely has something to do with the missing <aside> tags. Not sure why my version of the theme (and the demo) is not outputting them like the example you gave above.
I was able to edit the includes/app/shortcodes/td_social.php line 31 $buffy .= and include the <aside> tag with a fixed ID for a text box id=”text-3″ and it worked. Definitely not the right way and I won’t be leaving it there, just trying to isolate and find out where the disconnect is occurring.
Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions on where I should look. Thanks!
Hey guys,
I’m trying to do the same thing with this plugin. Could someone tell me how to call the widget in a textbox so it works? Every way I’ve tried causes an error. It seems to be because of the “[]” in the widget title (i.e. “[tagDiv] Social Counter”)
Thanks!
Hi,
You need to add a shortcode in the widget, a shortcode can be generated via page builder, you can add a block then switch to classic mode to get the shortcode, like this: http://screencast.com/t/uQov7yx3
Thanks
Hy.
I used the Q2W3 plugin for some months and now, after the last big updated ( ver.4) this plugin stopped working.
Any solutions?
