Footer widgets location in admin menu

Hi!

I’ve installed Newspaper theme and installed a demo content.
The problem is that I can not find how to remove a predefined footer widget. It is not in Widgets admin panel options neither in Theme Panel.

I also want to rename one of the widgets.

Thanks,
Bence Gacsalyi

Also, any idea why updates are not shown in frontend only if logged in as admin? It might be a wrong host setting (SiteGround), but you might have an idea. Thanks

Hello !

You can edit your footer by accessing the website manager and scrolling to the bottom of your page ( it can be any page where that footer is set ): https://www.screencast.com/t/u9nHxfjshIVu

This happens due to cache. Please follow our guide and make sure that WP Super Cache has been installed properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Let us know the result.

Thank you !

Hi!

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately edit box is not available for footer elements at all. Last editable element is in main content wrap. In footer no elements are getting the editing highlights and buttons. Any idea why this happens? No major changes in site. A child theme has been created based on your guide, but only a custom css file has been enqueued that has nothing to do with footer.

The cache problem seems to be resolved. No cache plugins were enabled, but SiteGround has forced some kind of cache even when it was turned off in both their backend and as a WP plugin.

Thanks,
Bence

Hello !

Do you have a footer template set ? You can check that in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/Z9R5khls Check to see which one is global set. If you don’t have any I recommend importing one.

Thank you !
