increased that and installed it again. Seemed to work for a second then said it was deactivated due to error. Honestly, even if fixed – this is just to buggy for me. I need a bullet proof solution with easy updates. I can’t risk this failing or erroring out down the road when I really push the limits of this. Please just refund the order – I’ll delete it and have no use due to the risk involved. Thx. Wish it would have worked out.

Please make sure you also have the post views active and also test this without using caches as the last days 7 post count works based on post views so if you use cache this might not work properly.
Please also note that it pulls from ALL the posts the most accessed in the last 7 days NOT the posts that are published in the last 7 days.

Hello there,
I’m having 3 issues with the revo slider and the menu.
1) There is a gap I can’t get rid of between the slider and the menu, probably around 50px.
2) When the menu expands, all of the options disappear behind the revol slider rather than laying over top of it.
3) The sub-menu options on the megamenu do not appear to the side of the category images, but rather they are pushed below. How can I get them to appear to the left ?

2. Try this custom css for slider z-index:

3. Please make sure that you create a megamenu properly – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-the-megamenu/
When you set a category megamenu you don’t have to add submenu items. For parent category(with subcategories) set as megamenu all subcategories will appear automatically.
If you still have issues with it please provide a link so we can take a look.

Please check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active and also clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN. Also please make sure that you use the latest theme update (1.7.1 – you use Newsmag theme) and also update the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. Go to the page-builder and click on the pencil icon or edit icon and try to find the custom title text field. Insert your title in it and if you want you can also add a custom link to it. Save the template and save the page.

I tried to hide some elements/blocks on some devices (mobile phone e.g.) using the “responsive behaviour” menu. The block border becomes white but It does not work. Still all blocks appear on all devices (PC, mobile etc). Why? Regards, Chris

Hi. I’ve done a post with a Video, using the template style 3 (large ‘image’ on top), selected format = video and featured video url…and the video appears embedded at the top, large which is great BUT the page title, category and date etc. are appearing right over the video controls. How do I move them above or below the video?
And is there anyway of making the embedded video appear further down in the post at all…or will it always automatically be right at the top?

Unfortunately style 3 was not designed for featured video, in version 5 of the theme will be added a post template especially for video posts.

Hi. I just followed the instructions to regenerate my existing thumbnails…over 8,000…and it’s 100% complete BUT I notice now that the only thumbs that show on the site are those for posts where I had selected ‘Featured Image’. It will take a long time to go through thousands of posts. Is there anyway to make the theme select its own featured thumb from a post (often there’s just one picture so it’s obvious)? (Someone else did ask this…but their question was misunderstood and not answered.)

check my sticky post on theme optimizations; I recommend using the Auto Post Thumbnail PRO plugin, which will create a featured image from first image in post, and assign as featured image. It’s cheap and works. I had same issue with 10 year old sites, and never used featured images on those sites. This solves it. 🙂

Hi. I’ve looked thro’ the forum but can’t find a simple answer on exactly where to insert facebook comments code. It was really easy on my previous theme. I don’t want to use another plugin. And I don’t want to replace WP comments. I’d just like to add FB comments as an extra above the WP comments (or anywhere!). So I have the javascript bit of code (that should go after the opening or before closing body tag), and then the div tag code that should go exactly where one wants the FB comments to appear. Please can you tell me where to paste these – which files and where? Thank you!!!

Is there any version of css file supporting only the full size version.
It is a little tedious to erase all the media references in the initial css file.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for this, you will need custom modifications to disable mobile version as the Newspaper theme was designed with an fixed grid layout, responsive as it is fluid and style for desktop/tables/mobile screens. You can edit the style.css file and try to remove the @media query’s for phone. We plan to create/add an option, but I provide a date when this will be implemented.
