Hello,
yesterday I updated your theme (Newsmag) on one of my websites from the “very old” version 4.6 (more or less) to the latest available.
Everything went well (thanks God) except for one small detail: the galleries inside the posts.
I know the current procedure for inserting galleries in posts is this:

but i was wondering if there was a way to make the galleries (created before the update) work.
Now they look like this:

but when you click on the photo, nothing is displayed except the text: “the image cannot be loaded”.
How can I fix it without going to edit all the posts that contain the galleries?

Hi,
Unfortunately i do not know if this will work, as I can see your gallery is different from the one that we provide in our example, but if this works on v4.6 it should work in v4.9.3 too.
Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

thanks for your answer.
First of all our gallery is the basic one on WordPress, it is not particular or created through external plugins
I tried to deactivate ALL plugin except tagDiv and the old galleries don’t work.
It’s so strange because we only uploaded the theme and nothing else so it must be work the same as up to now.
It is a big problem for us because all the galleries inserted so far in the past years (and there are really many) do not work.
I also have another request from my client: do the galleries only have this new layout (the one in the guide linked above – tagdiv slider gallery) or is there the possibility of doing them differently (perhaps with external plugins)?

Unfortunately, for the moment that is the only gallery that our theme has, also there is a gallery in Gutenberg editor -> https://gogutenberg.com/blocks/gallery/

Oh I have this same problem and I need a fix around on this as I don’t want to use the new galleries, just the WordPress Options and now all my old galleries are no longer formatted across my site and when I do have a gallery inserted via Gutenberg if you click on the image it says “image won’t load” too. Any help with this please?

You need to be careful when you upload the images as the links need to be set to the image file itself for the modal image to display properly:-> https://i.imgur.com/K56Al1d.jpg
Also make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict and you are using the last version of Newsmag theme.
