In order to have a thumbnail generated automatically by our theme you simply need to switch to a video post format before pasting the video URl: http://screencast.com/t/4msxt2OW

What about modification in the code so that if it detect feature image is already there it ignore creation of thumbnail from feature videos ? it will be more helpful without commenting out or deleting the code which you mention in reply.

This is more complicated as you have to create the detection of the featured image. For this we recommend getting some help as substantial coding skills will be required and we have no easy solution to provide in this regard.
