Hey,

I have a problem with my website, for some reason when I check the google cache of my website, it shows the mobile version.

This is what my website looks like from desktop: https://prnt.sc/svwmyr

And this is is how the google page cache looks like: https://prnt.sc/svwnjk

I have the Super Cache plugin installed using all the settings you provided.

My website URL is: https://gadgetgang.com/

It would be great to get this problem fixed as I think it’s what’s affecting my google rankings.

Thanks & Regards,
Dan

Hi dmxsta,

Please make sue that all settings from Super Cache plugin are set as in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ also if you have other cache or optimize plugins it can interfere with Super Cache plugin.
Also is possible that your website to had this problem before and was indexed by google and now until it will re index your website you’ll get that version.
For me accessing your website from here -> https://i.imgur.com/OQqhwDj.png it’s returns like this -> https://i.imgur.com/Z2XiRNC.png

Thank you!

Hello Calin,

I have followed that guide for the super cache settings, however, I am still having the same problem with the google cache.

I have also seen many other websites having the same problem:
https://buddymantra.com/
https://prostobzor.com
https://www.techolac.com/

As you can see the google cache is showing the mobile version.

I have had the same cache settings for a few months now, so waiting for google to re-cache my website is not going to fix the problem

Thanks.

Hi,

If your website is working correctly, that means that your website was cached in a moment when was use the mobile theme, here are some articles referring to this -> https://hdwebpros.com/blog/how-often-does-google-update-its-search-results.html
-> https://stackoverflow.com/questions/47045168/how-often-does-google-refresh-its-cached-websites

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello Calin,

The links you sent really don’t help, I am familiar with google caching, however, I don’t understand why the cached DESKTOP version of my website is showing the mobile version in the google cache.

I think this is a problem with the mobile theme, sometimes when I load my website from my desktop it will show the mobile theme until a refresh it.

Please can you look into this and let me know your thoughts on why google is caching the mobile theme, and not the desktop one.

Thanks & Regards,
Dan

Hi,

Are you using other cache plugins then super cache ?
Also I see that you have CDN maybe is from rocket loader, if you can to make a test, to use 1-2 days only super cache and check the results.
In the meanwhile will make some more investigations, about this, for the moment the chert this is that this problem is from same cache.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Calin,
Thanks for getting back to me again.

The only caching plugin I am using is super cache, I have ensured I am using all the recommended settings.

I have disabled rocket loader, I will give it a few days and see what happens.

Thanks & Regards,
Dan

Hi

If the problem persist, please disable wp super cache too and check the results.

Let me know the results!
