Hello, I review our site https://trikalatroll.gr through Google PageSpeed Insights and I see that one of our greatest errors is the Largest Contentful Paint.
In our case that is the main image of the site. It seems to me that the structure of your code blocks the fast loading of this main element.
The insights gives me this code as an example:
div.td-image-container > div.td-module-thumb > a.td-image-wrap > span.entry-thumb
<span class=”entry-thumb td-thumb-css td-animation-stack-type0-2″ data-type=”css_image” data-img-url=”https://trikalatroll.gr/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/3d3a3f55-54a8-4ac2-838e…” style=”background-image: url("https://trikalatroll.gr/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/…");”>
Has anyone else make tha same complaint? Is this something you can help or fix?
Thanks
Giorgos
Hello Giorgos!
Check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/autoptimize-install-configuration/
Please note that page speed or optimization is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Check those guides : https://wp-rocket.me/google-core-web-vitals-wordpress/improve-largest-contentful-paint/ -> https://web.dev/lcp/ – > https://www.sqlpac.com/en/documents/google-pagespeeds-lighthouse-6-new-features-lcp-cls.html -> https://wp-rocket.me/google-core-web-vitals-wordpress/improve-cumulative-layout-shift
Thank you for understanding!
Hello Bettina, thanks for your advice. I use the W3 Total Cache, guess it’s not a problem right? Will try to solve this, by following the LCP rules and see what happens.
I was just thinking that someone may had the same problem with us previously.
Thanks
Giorgos
Chris thanks for your reply. I am not familiar with this “preload” element you mention.
Do you mean an element of TagDiv? A wordpress element? Can you explain a little bit more your suggestion please?
Thanks
Giorgos
Hmm we really need the metrics plus I see the delay from Google services and it’s not really big. My biggest problem is the main image. I think it’s because it has not a width/height value as it is. That’s what I read from other tutorials.
Bettina can we add this somehow from the TagDiv elements?
Unfortunately, I’m experiencing the same issue. According to PageSpeed, on mobile, the First Contentful Paint is >5 seconds and the Largest Contentful Paint is >9 seconds in every test. On PC, the values are excellent. I’m using WP Rocket and the MOBILE TEMPLATE, which I set up with Composer.
I simply can’t figure out what I should do. I’ve tried all sorts of settings in WP Rocket based on various guides, but there’s no improvement in this area. What could be the problem? Website: https://ajovokezdete.hu/
Hello Peter, according to my analysis of your waterfall yes you have the same problem I had. Also at waterfall view in your site CSS files take all of time too.
Unfortunately I found no solution to share with you. I left the site as it was thinking maybe the theme developers solve this some time.
Good luck,
Giorgos
