When I go to VC – Grid Builder Templates, there are none. Not sure if there are supposed to be any with the default theme? To be honest..I’m not even sure what “blocks” are. Both this template and VC are new to me.
So here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ it says to look here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
am I supposed to have access to all those big grids as templates? Is there some basic documentation on what is a block, how it’s used, if either NP theme or VC already have templates, etc?
Thanks,
Hello,
The best thing to do when starting out with a new theme is to read the documentation as you will find much useful information: https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/
You can also check out our live demo to see the theme features in action: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ (in the menu under the features item)
Our theme comes with predefined content blocks you can add to your pages and sidebars. On poages you must use visual composer for it and for the sidebars you can use the widgets section of wp.
You can also check out our youtube channel for video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
I’m not sure why you think sending me to the same links I posted and still had questions about is going to be helpful?
I said I had questions about this link:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
And you posted this:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/
Exactly the same. And then you told me to read the “documentation” which I clearly stated I did.
So you haven’t answered my questions at all.
1) Are there supposed to be blocks or grid templates with default theme?
2) Is there some basic documentation on what is a block, how it’s used, if either NP theme or VC already have templates, etc?
What is a block?
Hi,
The theme comes with these blocks that you can use as you wish on pages and on the sidebars from the wp widgets area. A block can be a grid, can be a slide, it;s basically a theme element. you can see all the theme elements you can use in visual composer under the blocks tab (or the “all tab”): http://screencast.com/t/ieVpps3ozVL
In our live demo you can see these blocks live under the “features” menu item.
In order to have access to blocks in visual composer you need to edit a page and click the add element button from visual composer. I’m not sure how to describe this better than the documentation…maybe this will help:

Thank you!
