I was wondering if Newspaper theme is adding its own GZIP compression rules?
I am using wp-rocket premium caching plugin and it seems that it works great, however, there is conflict between this plugin and Newspaper theme. I tried wp rocket plugin with default Twenty Sixteen and another premium theme – they both work very smooth. So I was wondering how can I fix it?

Unfortunately wp-rocket is known to cause issues with our theme. Please switch to wp super cache as this is the tested caching plugin with our theme.

Does W3 Total Cache works fine with the theme?

Unfortunately W3 total cache is no longer the recommended plugin to use with our theme. It created some errors and had to be changed. We recommend you use WP super cache.
