Maybe you’re doing something wrong, or it could be a plugin issue. First try to disable all plugins except visual composer and see if the problem is still there.

thank you for your reply. I had already followed the instructions in your documentation regarding header ads and custom spots.
I have now tried to disable all plug-ins, however the problem still persists.

Now i see what you mean. Things are actually very simple. You use header style 7. The ad for this header is supposed to be there. Check this list of header styles to see how each one behaves: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
As for the text, it is actually your main menu. You must ad a menu or this text will display.
