hide social network fields

Hi,
is it possible to hide individual social network fields on the profile page in the dashboard?

I tried it with the “user_contactmethods hook”, but it doesn`t work.
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/hooks/user_contactmethods/

Another possibility would be to hide them with css, but i would prefer another method.

Any suggestions?
