Homepage Broken after Update

I have had this theme installed for years. There was a massive overhaul so I reverted back and never upgraded. Recently, I created a staging server and decided to go through the process of fixing all the issues the upgrade created and I have been pretty happy…until today. Today, I did the upgrade to the latest version and now my homepage will not resolve properly. When I am logged in as admin I can see the correct homepage, but when I logout I only see the code like the site is not recognizing the tag div composer markup.

All other pages work great, just not the homepage.

Things I have tried:
1. I have all cache turned off.
2. I have changed the homepage in settings > reading to multiple different pages and back.
3. I optimized the DB.
4. I changed the homepage template to another page template and back.
5. I am now making a post here.

Active plugins: tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Libraries, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Standard Pack

It appears I have a problem with all pages, not posts. I have tried to make some changes to pages, but they don’t happen. Is there some sort of caching system in the Newspaper theme? When I am logged in as admin I can see the changes, but not when I am logged out.

Well, I am at a loss. I rolled back to 11.2 and all my issues were still there. Homepage showing tagDiv Composer markup when not logged in, pages not showing updates, only posts. Something is NOT right here. Does anyone have an idea??

well, bizarre…things are showing up now. I have no answers and this is quite scary. I am not very confident in any future updates. Luckily this was on a staging server.

I am worried about updating to 11.3, just purchased 11.2 last week.. please let me know if things workout. Luckily I am still in development but soon I will be going live, so if I am going to upgrade I should do it now. Hope it works out for both of us. Good Luck.. and keep us posted.

Hello,

@homesofcolor
,
Usually, this problem is due to the cache plugin you are using, because even if you have disabled it, it can run for a while in the backend, for example, object cache, because it creates a folder and delivers the same version for some time (it may differ from one plugin to another).
It is also advisable to check the server to see if you have installed a cache plugin there and to delete the cache (purge) also, delete the cache from the browser and check if this problem is still present.
Also, please let me know what settings you made and did not apply.
Again, if the issue was resolved after a while it is because the time when the cache delivered the old version has expired, and after it has been updated, it has cached the new version of the website.

@R7

Please check this article about how to update the theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thank you!
