How can I use the google search function to replacing the theme’s original search function? The theme’s search function cannot search for anything.

Unfortunately this is not a default option with Newspaper Theme. You will have to use a plugin. We have not tested any so we cannot recommend. Also please note that due to our support policy we cannot offer support for untested plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
