I want to include 5-10 pictures to a story, but don’t want to add them all individually to the page. How would I add a photo album or a slideshow? Is this already built-in into the Themeforest theme?
Also, how do I remove my ‘sign in’ name, and the ‘logout’ button that is on my page, as well as removing the placeholder for the authors picture?

As for the sign in, you can disable it from the theme panel header section
The author avatar placeholder does not have any setting to disable the placeholder. If The avatar can only be removed completely using a css code. But that will disable the avatar completely, not just the placeholder. As an alternative, you can use gravatar https://codex.wordpress.org/How_to_Use_Gravatars_in_WordPress
or this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-avatar/ to replace the placeholders.
