I don’t understand how the user can create a post and then update/edit it.
Also, what does the user update forms does? What exactly is it used for?
Is it possible for a user to view a post and right in that page click somewhere to edit the details or it and then submit a new version of the post?
Can you please explain how can I achieve a submit then possibility to edit those same posts?

There are elements that will help you to create a page for post submission -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-frontend-submission-form/
The users can create a post submission if you set the limit default or if they have a plan subscription activated.
On the My Account page, you can add a new page with a posts list page, where the posts are displayed -> https://i.imgur.com/fEFAkpM.png. On that element, you can set an URL to edit the posts and what you let to edit -> https://i.imgur.com/kUo3iME.png.

The Edit button is available only for the Posts List element.

Can a user who is not logged in add posts? Can I add posts from the front end without user registration?
