I’m using Newsmag and have the big header image active- this use to be featured image. I changed the category name to main header and since then, the article that appears there is any recent article rather than based on the category. How do i assign a category that section.

If this situation is on the homepage, then use tagDiv Composer to edit the page, select the block and check the filter tab and there select the category for that block.

That section has filter settings. In the composer the element can be selected by clicking like this below it https://prnt.sc/7lkzzWqLZir9 There you can set the filter you want. Please try it.
