I’m using the newest versions of wordpress, the newspaper theme and the adrotate pro plugin.
I already successfully placed Sidebar Ads with adrotate on the right of my articles.
Now I want to place a Article Top Ad, the same in every article. But didn’t find a way.
Need help, please!

You can place the Adrotate shortcodes in the theme panel sections you want and they should be displayed in those locations. Maybe these guides fro Adrotate would be helpful

Ok, that works so far. Thanks a lot.
But the Top Ad hasn’t the position I want. It’s under the foto and the article headline. But I want it above the foto and the headline. Is there a way to tell the theme to push it up?

The article ads positions are predefined for all post templates in the theme. There is no option to change their position unfortunately. Please note that the post templates display the top ad differently, you could choose a template that displays the ad on top of the title for example

But this is, what I did. I configured a Topbanner ad with the plugin. I entered the shortcode in the theme panel ad sections for the Article Top Ad. Then I went to article and choosed one of the two templates that displays the ad on top of the title of a article. I published the article, but the Top Ad was still under the headline (and picture). So I thought, perhaps there must be a second place for the shortcode- Obviously there’s not. So I wonder, where is my mistake?

The top article ad will not show up above the featured image. The article top ad will always display below the featured image. The only ad that can be above the featured image is a header ad.

But when I activate the header ad, the Topbanner is shown every and not only above articles. I need a Top Ad only shown above articles.
And I wonders, why there a two widget, that suggest it. (see picture)

Edit: But I have to say, it is a pity that there are not more variants of templates to set a top ad above a article. Respectively it would be nice, if the ad spot for the article template (style 12 & 13) were the same, as for the ARTICLE TOP AD. So it would appear every article the same banner no matter which template I choosed.

Thanks for the suggestion but most users do not require an ad above the featured image. Each template is unique and people usually choose one style and go with that one instead of alternating between post styles a lot.
