Hi,
I think this is very entry level question but I took a couple of hours to look for it.
I am making Home page on tagdiv composer from white page.
I want to set sidebar (widget) but I cannot find this kind of component parts from left lists.
How can I do this?
Hi,
In order to set some widgets in homepage you need to edit the page with tagDiv Composer
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/5FidByVjWz -> https://www.screencast.com/t/nF8D45Gzwruj
the Latest articles cams from the page template; the widget can be found here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/utV7VV3QvgfT here is how you can create a new sidebar – > https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Thanks.
Hi! Using the last version of Newspaper/TagDiv Composer, the problem is that no “widget” nor “sidebar” element appears when I search for it in the TagDiv Composer.

Did I miss something?
Hi @isagachie,
If you are using the last version of the Newspaper theme ( v9.7.3 ) there was implement some new conditions for a better compatibility with WPBakery, therefore, some elements will not be available in the tagDiv composer. This was made to prevent issues with the respective elements. The single image, widgets element, raw html… are some of them.
If you want to still have theme you need to deactivate the WPBakery plugin or replace the tdc_map.php from wp-content>plugins>td-composer>includes>tdc_map.php withe tdc_map.php from the previous version of Newspaper theme.
Thank you!
Hi Calin, thanks for your response (I’ve already read it in another thread). But I didn’t fully understand it.
Do you mean that one solution is I have to totally desactivate WPBakery. Gasp! I mean some of my page’s contents are build with WPBakery, some not! I try to take the best of each other.
The other solution would be a bit techy and could be, I assumed, nulled in a next Newspaper update. No ? And well… how do I get “tdc_map.php from the previous version of Newspaper theme”?
I can fully understand that developping a theme is terribly complex… but on the user side… seing a part of our site disappear when upgrading it (without any warning, I’m affraid… or I missed it)… is a bit harsh…
Hi @isagachie,
This problem of compatibility will be fix in the coming update.
If you need the tdc_map.php file from the prev version you can get it from here http://www.filedropper.com/tdcmap all you need to do is to replace the file with the one from the theme; if you need help with this, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look and change those files. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
