Hello, I am having hard time figuring out how to setup a simple sidebar across entire website.
I set the sidebar “ON” in the theme panel.
I add widgets into it.
Then in pagebuilder it says “oh no, you must add widgetized sidebar” and the sidebar I have set before is not working.
How can I make this work?
Sorry but this process is beyond complex now. The online videos/tutorials all seem to refer to some older Newspaper themes, since most of the options I see are not even corresponding to current version.
Help please. What exactly do I need to do with now, to have a SIMPLE sidebar with SIMPLE WIDGETS on my website.

Just to make it clear – I cannot seem to be able to get sidebar to show on the static homepage, constructed from tagdiv composer.
The sidebar shows up on the post pages themselves, but there is no way in hell I can get it to show on the homepage 🙁

Across the entire website is not quite possible. In a page built with the tagDiv composer, if you want to display one of your widget sidebars, you can use the widget sidebar element – http://prntscr.com/nwydjf
Place it where you want it and set it to display from the available sidebars

This is how you can display a widget sidebar in a page.
For category pages you can set a category for each one in the theme panel, this can be done in the per category settings in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/nwyfnl
Posts will inherit the sidebar from their primary category by default

Unless you set one manually for each post in the post edit screen

Please make sure that you have the last version of Newspaper theme and all theme requirements are set as in our guide – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

I think that you have set in Theme panel a category template from tagDiv Cloud Library, then you’ll need to change other category template or set on theme template from Inherit from Global Settings -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lAE8M89j4qU
