How to update theme if using child theme or if not using child theme.

hey guys, thanks for the theme and support you provide. I have queries, please inform/guide me

1. how to update theme if using child theme
2. how to update theme if not using child theme. using theme out of the box.

3. if using child theme for my website. where to import the dummy data. either in the main theme or in child theme.

Hi,

The theme can be updated using this guide (by FTP is the most recommended method)

The main theme update will not be affected by the child theme. If you have customization in the child theme please note that they may require modifications sometimes. Files and elements from the main theme can change after updates, your customization may need adaptation.
A good practice is to have a local testing environment similar to the live website, where you can test to see if everything works properly.
