I am trying to update my newspaper theme but i am having problems. The 1st problem is that eventhough i have my child theme installed i left the main theme activated so when i activate i see errors.
Is there a way you can help make the child theme exactly as my main so i can update it ? Plus the auto update doesnt work

In the latest update we changed everything, it’s practically a new theme and the old customization will not work, sorry. The best approach on this would be to create a local development install and try to rebuild the custom modifications for the new theme and when you’re done update the main site.
Before update please backup the entire site (files and database), in case something goes wrong use the backup to restore the site to it’s previous state.

Ok, thanks for answering. I did that.
The only problem i am having now is with visual composer. It opens but on the list of elements it doesnt show big slider, modules ,etc. Just some plain ones. Any idea why ?

About the 7 day most popular; does it use the 7 day most viewed for any date or just posted in the last 7 days ?

Please ad your code in Theme Panel > Ads: http://screencast.com/t/QYTIDyk1lr and it will be automatically displayed on post template 11.
Using this feature it will pull from ALL the posts the most accessed in the last 7 days, not the posts that are published in the last 7 days.

Please make sure that you updated the theme properly and also the plugins that come with the theme’s files from the /plugins folder. Also check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN. If you still have this issue please provide a link so we can take a look.
