hi jan, im having same problem, installed the romania news, made just headline changes to figure things out a bit, but when trying to see it on phone i get the same screen that you get, plus a wordpress sign in, (even in somebody elses phone), im following your question, maybe we can get and easy explanation 🙂

The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
Unfortunately you cannot have the design you want. If you disable the mobile theme you will have the same layout as on desktop.

So I turned off the Mobile Theme plugin. Speed is fine, design also, that’s how I wanted it.
Just now: the hamburger menu and search doesn’t work properly.
