Hey,
When I try to align and image in the center it takes the whole page width. And this only happens when I am using caption. Without caption it works fine.
This is without caption: https://emperorpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/without-caption.jpg

And this is my website: emperorpost.com
I guess when I use caption the theme somehow aligns the picture with the text.
Hi,
I cannot view the images you posted

There was a issue similar to what you are describing, this happened after the WordPress update. If I recall correctly this was fixed by a theme update, version 8.2.
Thanks

And I am on the version 8.1. I don’t want to update my theme altogether. That way I lose some of the changes I made in the theme files. Can I somehow just update the files that were updated in the update?

Hi,
There were many modified files in the 8.2 update, after the WordPress update. These fixed various issues that were present at the time. The problem was not just with the captions.
You should try and update the theme to the latest version, version 8.5 introduced many new features.
If possible try and make customization using a child theme, that would be a lot more future proof ten modifying actual theme files. Only if the files are not supported by the child theme you should modify them directly.
Here is an update guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks
Okay so I updated the theme to 8.5.1 via filezilla and I still have this problem.
Many other problem have resolved itself.
I just want to make sure of one other thing. I am using a child theme, do I need to do something (upgrade) to my child theme as well? or that should be good to go ?
