I am having terrible problems getting virtually any kind of image onto my site with the WordPress/Newspaper uploader. It keeps giving messages like HTTP error or the following:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home1/user/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-imagick.php on line 360
I am unable to increase the 30 second execution time due to restrictions on my Hostgator cloud hosting deal, to which I am locked into for the next 3 years.
Can you suggest a workaround to this?

If you cannot increase these parameters, sorry but you will have to change hosts as there is no workaround for it. sorry.
