In need of a tutorial step by step

Hi all,

Seeing that I’m not able to use the theme as I want (I could not create at least a functional homepage), and seeing that I could not find a step by step tutorial on how to use all options of the theme, does anyone know a good (I must maybe say a full or step-by-step) tutorial for this theme please ?

That is how I have learned to use the theme. Do I know everything? – No. But I’m learning.

Hi, thanks for your answer, but it is already some days that I take many hours to test it, and still can not do it working. And, after all, when Envato says “we believe that our themes should be so easy to use that you no longer need the documentation” I think they should have, at least, give a documentation for those who may need it :/

The documentation you link, I did read it already, and it does not really help me…

In fact, my question is simple : is there somewhere a tutorial on how to create a home page from scratch ? I do not understand that Envato did not do it, when I see some smaller concurrents doing it (and very well).

To built a homepage you need to use Visual Composer Plugin, which comes with the theme, so make sure you have it installed. With that plugin you can insert blocks, grids, widgets etc: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

After you finished customizing your page go to Settings > Readings and set your front page: http://screencast.com/t/komoGTYco

Thank you both for your answers. Well, homepage is created, but I get some problems still to have it working as it should. And I did check all links you give, and by the way all videos given in tutorial videos on youtube.

I’ve used several themes from different developers. I have to say; these guys at TagDiv with their Newspaper theme are doing things right.

This is one of the best documented themes with video and pics to assist along the way. Yes the documentation could be a bit more clear, but it’s pretty good. It’s also one of the most and from what I’ve found, bug free themes.

Stick with it (Newspaper and WordPress), read the documentation, try to understand the Newspaper theme and WordPress and learn WordPress (wordpress is its own beast), click on things, change things in the theme panel and save… see how it changes your theme.

If you’ve never worked with WordPress or a theme it’s going to take you time to understand what does what.

You invested into an amazing theme with great support. I have no doubt you’re going to figure it out and have an amazing website. Best of luck!!!
