Inconsistent Copy Url button & Flipboard share button behaviour

Hello, team tagDiv.

The copy url button in share section isn’t working for me while logged into my admin dashboard. A button is showing but without the link icon and when I click on it, it just reloads the same page.

As soon as I logout, the icon shows up and it starts working. But there are a few issues—

1.) When logged out, on clicking, the link is indeed copied but the tick mark’s color is white which is almost invisible if the button background color is light.

2.) On amp pages, the button does not show anything. Just empty space. When clicked, same problem, it reloads the page.

3.) Apart from copy url button, the Flipboard share button also doesn’t show anything on amp pages.

Lastly, I just noticed that the WhatsApp and Telegram buttons, unlike before, are showing up on desktop as well. Is this part of the update?

Hello @pratiek!

It could be a plugin conflict there or something that can interfere in our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/, so please make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also deactivate the cache plugin that you use, and try again.

Enable the sharing feature on mobile theme + AMP from Theme panel -> Mobile
Theme -> Post Settings -> Sharing.

Yes, you’re right they do not appear on AMP. I’ll address this issue to our developers.

Yes, we implemented it in the new update.

Thank you!

Also, please note that I have share icons with a very light background(#ccf9e5) the icons are dark(#1e1e1e).

Ideally, after click on copy url button, the tick should be dark as well but it’s white which hinders the visibility and not a good UX practice. It should match the icon’s color—whatever it is.

Hello @pratiek!

Can you please provide some screenshots or a video about this issue? It will help.

Thank you!

Sure, Bettina.

Here’s the link.

When the icon is clicked, it seems like it has disappeared which confuses the visitors.

I know it doesn’t disappeare, it just seems like it. The tick mark should follow the color of the share post icons.

Hello @pratiek!

Please let me know exactly which style you used in the TagDiv Composer and which settings you applied on that element, so I can check on my end.

Thank you!

Is the Copy URL supposed to have an icon or just be a blank box?

The social media/Mail/Print each have an icon – but its confusing that on my end and front end – it just shows a blank box for Copy URL.

Hello Chris!

It’s supposed to work like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/7VhbNlruZCvk
Try to add the element in the TagDiv Composer without to change the colors, and it should work like in the video.
This issue will be fixed in the next update.

Thank you!
