Hi there, how do I install the child theme, since there isn’t a child theme zip file?
A sample child theme is available in the /code/ folder in the package that you downloaded from Themeforest.
Usually, child-theme installation is done just like the parent, through zip files. I understand that this tutorial shows how to put child-them files manually, which is not exactly simple, right? Also, I’m not sure if I have to do ALL these steps or just the first one?
Extract all 3 files
functions.php
screenshot.png
style.css
from the Themeforest archive
/code/Newspaper-child/
to a folder
wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/
on your hosting (server) with your wordpress-site
and activate the Child Newspaper Theme in admin-panel.
