Now we are talking about 2 different things. This issue is not with adding an Instagram Element to a template in Newspaper.
The Instagram footer that is hard coded into the template that is selectable in the theme panel still does not work.

Sorry but after removing from the theme panel footer “Instagram Settings” and clearing the cache it still is not working. The link appears but the rendering of the block does not work with post photos.

No, not anymore… you need to be sure you are connected to Instagram API. In the theme panel go to SOCIAL/APIS and make sure you have authorized the theme to connect to the API using a Personal or Business Account.
We are using it in the global settings for the footer. You have to have both setup in the Theme Panel for it to work. Footer: Instagram Settings

we have the same issue. I connected all the accounts, but the Instagram gallery is not shown.
Instead there is an error:
“Instagram data error: The data could not be retrived using the /traveldudes/ Instagram ID. If you own this account, please connect to it in Theme’s Panel Social Networks > Instagram Account Access Configuration section.”

we have again the same issue. Private Account is still connected, but the Instagram gallery is not shown.
Instead there is an error: Block Render Failed – Tried accessing nonexisting field (comments_count) on node type (Media)
Same here, the instagram widget doesn’t display the images anymore since few days

Please make sure that you have the latest version of theme 12.4 and you have the Instagram connect in Theme Panel -> Social/APIS -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/
Please do a full backup to all files and databases, before updating.

Problem is since we installed 12.4!!!
instagram is connected, I have v12.4 and it doesn’t work unfortunately. I will try to disconnect and reconnect
I’ve given up on a TagDiv fix for this issue. It’s been going on for a while. TagDiv has no control over how Facebook changes it’s API and the side effect is the issue for some of us who use the Newspaper theme.

We updated the theme and I’ve reconnected the Instagram account, but it’s still not showing in the footer the Instagram images.
