Hi, I have received a notification that an update to Newspaper (8.7) is now available. As I don’t want to damage a site I’ve spent weeks getting exactly as I wanted it, can you tell me what the update does and whether there is any risk to settings, appearance, third party plugin functionality etc? On every update there is a risk for untested plugins. The best course of action to test if there will be trouble or not when updating is to create a sub-domain and use the duplicator plugin creating a clone of your site on a subdomain for testing. That way, you can update the theme on the subdomain and see if there will be any major issue so you will not affect the main site.
Constant back-ups are also a very good practice.
