The editorial staff informs us that the “video” section of our portal – which obviously includes that category and YouTube and Vimeo content – shows different layouts.
We recommended that the url of the individual videos be inserted in the “featured video” box (which should automatically create the featured image and the thumbnail from a frame of the video itself), but apparently the layouts of the articles inserted in the last two years always appears different, article by article:
– sometimes the complete youtube video appears TWICE (and not only one frame as featured image)
– sometimes the thumbnail appears on the home page but not the featured image at the beginning of the article
– sometimes (the last one added) it finally appears correct, with the right featured image – both thumbnail and at the beginning of the article – and the Vimeo video at the bottom of the post.
Many journalists work in the editorial office so we don’t know if a standard and correct procedure has always been followed.
