Hello, I updated to Newspaper 8.6 today and suddenly all my widgets disappeared. First they were on inactive. I put them all again in the custom sidebars. But now they’re gone again. I don’t know what’s happening. Can you please help me?

I moved back to version 8.5 and still the Widgets keep disappering from Custom Sidebar. Now they don’t even go Inactive, they just disappeared. Tried to shut down Cache plugin and still I keep getting this error. What should I do?

Now I get “Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!” whenever I try to edit a Page. Tried to go to Newspaper 8.6 again, but it messed up with the page, made the plugins desappear and did not resolve my problem.

I restores a backup with 8.5 and apparently the widgets are ok, but I’m still getting “Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!” and can’t edit anything.

I deactivated all the plugins and still have the problem with the widgets. I pulled the regular database serialized log and the one with the problem and they have the same structure. https://pastebin.goinfinite.net/raw/ditskzoqjmqr. It all leads to a problem with the theme.

Still no Widget saving here. It stays on for 5 minutes and then it goes back to inactive. I already deleted old sidebars and created new ones, but this still happens.

Hello afratus,

My advice is to make a new clean install to another sub-domain for testing with the latest version of the theme and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all the caches and check the results. I have seen that you are using some untested plugins to your website which might cause a lot of unknown issues to your website and that’s why we recommend disabling all of these.
If the problem is still there after you have followed my advice, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer to your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

@Firehorse67
Maybe you are using various symbols or characters in the sidebar name, that will cause problems like you mention
https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Please check if that is the case.

Thanks
