I want to add the categories to the MENU BUTTON because it looks more professional but when I want to make changes it keeps looping and then there is an error.

You need to edit that page that is set in the modal popup and assign there the menu -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
