Just broke site updating theme from version 8.1.1 to 11.4.2 – HELP!

Hi guys,
We’re helping update an old version of Newspaper from 8.1.1 to 11.4.2, and everything visual just broke.

Here’s what the live site looks like on the old version (8.1.1) – https://generationiron.com/

And here’s the staging site on the latest version (11.4.2) – https://generationiron947.e.wpstage.net/

Can you please help provide some guidance on updating from a very old version to the latest version? Are there any versions in between, or incremental steps we need to take, in order to properly update?

Hello,

Please make sure you have the Standard Pack plugin installed and active.
I recommend you make a full backup and update plugins and the theme via file transfer, so that you don’t face any errors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also, please try to update the theme without extra plugins activated during the installation, as this may interfere with the installation process.
