I have run many Lighthouse reports (homepage, articles) both for Desktop and Mobile.
I got low results on performance and many of the complains of the report are related to JS and CSS from the Newspaper theme.
Please advice.

Please make sure you use the latest update of the WordPress, theme and plugins.
If you do not use default templates and styles, then you can deactivate the Standard Pack plugin.
