Links throw xml errors randomly in Firefox/Chrome

I have Newspaper updated to 8.1.1 (did that today)
About 3 weeks prior to the update and after, when visitors try to use a bookmark to visit the site, it throws an xml error and displays the xml code in the browser instead of the bookmarked page.

We are using eStore to sell products and have been for many years – this issue affects the ability of the “cookies” to properly track and display purchases.

I have tried to disable all the plugins, but when I do that, Firefox tries to create a “Live Bookmark” when any link is pressed. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi,

If you did not change the website address, there should not be any problems with the bookmarks. Only if you changed the address, the links will not work anymore. In that case you could create a redirect from the old website address to the new URL

Thats not the issue – I must not be describing it correctly.
I either get this:

or this:

I upgraded the theme on Friday, and now we are getting an error about the theme:

Please activate the theme! – Click here to enter your code – if this is an error please contact us at contact@tagdiv.com – How to activate the theme

We activated our theme when we purchased it a year ago Oct 10th, 2016

Now what do I do? Any suggestions are most helpful.

Hi,

So the problem is that there is no style found for the feed page. I believe by default there is no styling that WordPress ads for feeds. That can be added trough a plugin or manually. So either the plugin you are using is not functioning properly anymore, or you need to check or redo any manual implementation you might have previously made.
Regarding the theme activation, please try and activate it normally again. There should be no issues

Thank you for your reply.

The feed page should NOT be appearing – that is the problem!
This happens whenever someone clicks a link, ANY link.

Hi,

Sorry for misunderstanding. I have inspected and browsed the website for quite a while, both on Chrome and Firefox, I am not getting any feed displayed instead of normal content when clicking any link. There is no issue from what I can see on posts, categories, pages etc. I cannot recreate the issue you are describing.

Thanks
