may I ask if the logo has a max height/width?
I have a logo thats 890×162, but when I add it, it looks very small, can I somehow make it bigger?

Unfortunately there is no logo size selector in our theme. If you use header styles 9, 10 or 11, they will show the full size logo you upload in so you can control the logo size from the logo image dimensions.

not sure I understand because I am using header style 10 as you mentioned but the theme still down scales the logo.
The image uploaded 890 × 162:

It is a WordPress setting that down scales any image you add to the site. It is the image size option found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/ANTiLHMp
Please make sure you select ‘full size’

you see that option as on your screenshot only when adding an image somewhere (like on a blog post), but I am not adding the logo on a post, I add it via the Newspaper theme panel (header) and there is no such option like you mention.
That screenshot was taken when adding a logo from the theme panel into the header section.
