my first Q so I am sorry if anything not happened as it should…
I just got a note from ThemeForest about available update for “Newspaper” version 8.5.
I have bought “Newspaper” version 8.2 two days ago and I have upgraded from ver 7.7 and had to face a lost of all Widget setups (as they disappeared from Newspaper Default Section and Footer) and I would like to avoid this situation when I upgrade from ver 8.2 to 8.5.
Is that possible?

There is a theme update available, please use this guide to update the theme

The widgets in the existing sidebars will be moved to inactive, I believe that is happening because of WordPress. You might need to reinsert them in the sidebars, as they will be in the inactive section below the widgets area.
