Main stylesheet compression issue

Hi,

I’ve enabled gzip compresssion on my site, and most files are compressing fine.

https://servicemuse.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.8.1 however does not compress, and there would be a huge reduction in filesize if it did.

Why does this file not compress?

Hi,

The theme stylesheet can be minified to improve speed. There are online css minification tools that you can use for this purpose. There are many topics here on the forum with useful information and advice to improve page speed. Like this one for example

It should compress all the files and the stylesheet as well.

Thanks, gzip compression is enabled, and is working on most files. It doesn’t however work on this particular stylesheet for some reason. Have you any idea why?

I could not say why it is not compressing when it should. The theme demo server is configured like mentioned in this guide

Maybe you can get more instructions from your hosting provider. They may be able to help you in this matter.
