Memberpress paywall problems with custom themes (Romania News Pro)

Hi There.

Im am using memberpress to create a paywalled site. I have a problem where if I use one of the standard post template the paywall presents properly:

As soon as I attempt to use the Romania News Pro post template which the client wants then it switches to this:
Romania News Single post template paywall

It is as if the template is not being applied to the post.

Any suggestions as to why this may be happening.
