Hi

I’ve checked your site an noticed that you’re note using a mega menu. However because your using a navigation link on a menu item with sub-menus this dis-functionality appear again. A solution would be to insert the menu item in sub-menu list and it’s link will become functional: http://screencast.com/t/VjQ9lOvi3v8

Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for looking into, but I think I dont understand the solution really.
Why should I put Themen in Submenu, it should appear on top?
Can you explain it further please?

Hi

Now on Themen item you have a navigation link which goes at http://www.kulturrat.de/themen/ On desktop devices are three actions on this item:
– two actions when the user hover over the element to appear the sub-menus list
– the third action is when the user click on the item to navigate at navigation link set on it.

On tablet you can’t have the these three actions because the hover element is missing. If you move Themen element inside sub-menus list the navigation link set on it will became functional. For example the main menu item will be named Main-Themen and will not have a navigation link on it. The Themen item will be a sub-item of Main-Themen and will have the http://www.kulturrat.de/themen/ link on it.

I hope this helps.
Thanks!

Hello,

I have the same tablet menu ploblème. The first menu of the link does not work. http://polar.zonelivre.fr

For example the menu “by country” does not work while it runs on PC.

I understood what you explained above but I can not double every menu.

Have you any idea what to rectify concerns, rather major.

Thank you

“by country” = “par pays”

Hi

Unfortunately there is no alternative for the moment. Current html structure of the menu does not allow implementing a solution for this issue. We consider changing that structure in future but I can’t say anything for sure as this is a very difficult task which requires a new approach for the menu.

Thanks!

Hi Andrei,

I am having the same menu issue as described by everyone else, but I am not running Mega Menus. On any menu button with a child menu, the main menu button does not work on a tablet.

How do I create a main menu item which is not linked to another page, so that I can put the menu item into the child menu instead? When I try to do this, it won’t work because I need to have a link in the menu button.

The URLs are thecarexpert.co.uk (Newsmag) and tcenew.wpengine.com (Newspaper – new site in development).

Many thanks,

stuart

HI

On tablet you can’t have main menu item with a navigation links set for it and also a drop-down menu fur the same item, I’ve explained above why. You can create a simple menu item then in its sub-menu add a new item and set the navigation link on it. Like this on tablets when you click the menu item drop-down menu will be displayed and you will be able to click on the link set for sub-item.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!

Hello kognitoweb,

I want to say that Andrei is on vacation and I have checked your website on tablet and the main menu (categories and sub-categories) are working as properly and I do not saw any problems with these. If you have other problems related to the theme, please create a new topic in the Newspaper section (now you have written in the Newsmag section) or you can contact us to our e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and there you can provide more details regarding on your problems.

Thanks for your understanding!
