On the demo there is a bunch of different elements in the mobile homepage. I cannot seem to figure out how to add anything besides the text, and the standard layout (recent articles + 3 article preview). How can I add things like recent posts from specific categories?

Hi
On our demo we don’t use mobile theme and all page content is also displayed on mobile devices. I assume that you’re using mobile theme and in this case the site will have a different layout on mobile devices. Mobile theme won’t render shortcodes so if you want to display blocks on mobile devices just deactivate it.
