Mobile Theme – Woocommerce

Hello,

I have noticed an incompatibility on the Mobile Theme which is related to Woocommerce. All styles and settings with child-theme do not work. Loads other colors and looks.

Please let me know if Woocomerce has been tested with a mobile theme and does it require a separate child-theme file for the mobile theme?

Hello!

If you use also child theme, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results. Without Mobile Theme plugin, Woocomerce should work well.

Thank you for your understanding!

As I wrote in the case of the mobile theme module on woocommerce, it does not peak CSS styles. Even overriding them in a child-theme doesn’t work.

The creators of the template did not check and prepare a mobile theme for woocomerce and Child Theme.

Additionally, I have applied my own functions and hooks in function.php in the child theme, and it also doesn’t work with the mobile theme.

The mobile theme in the settings has the option of using your own css code, which would allow you to copy the styles (but this is not a solution), the styles added in the child theme should work.

The mobile theme settings lack the ability to add your own functions the same as css. It would always allow you to copy functions from the child theme (also not ideal because it should be based on the child-theme from the function.php file).

It is strange that such a popular template has so many shortcomings and incompatibility with its own modules.

Hello!

Unfortunately, for the moment you can not achieve this with child theme and we hope to find a solution for this in the future updates.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,
Thank you for the information. I hope you will be serious about the topic and there will be such an option in the next update.

Alternatively, if it takes a lot of work, at least in the mobile-theme module provide the option of adding functions, so do I do with css. Then something can always be done.

This is a serious problem because now I have different solutions for stationary and mobile users. Compatibility must be.
