I tried it from the translation, but saving option too doesn’t work for theme panel. What is the issue?

Hi,

That is unusual, please check in the theme files in your install (main theme folder) if there is a 404 file

Additionally please try as a quick test to deactivate all your plugins (very important) except theme plugins. Check if the 404 page is displayed then.

Thanks

Yes! There is no 404.php file in Newspaper’s location. If I upload theme once again, all the homepage customizations will be lost. What shall I do?

Upload only the 404.php file in the main theme folder then. Open the theme package and the 404 file should be there. Upload it in the main theme folder in your WordPress install.

However this file should already be there, it is included in the theme. Maybe it was removed accidentally or something happened with it.

Note that by updating/re-installing the theme, the theme panel settings, custom code in the theme panel, pages and posts will not be lost

Only if you modify theme files directly, modifications to theme will be lost as you will be replacing the files with the new ones.

A child theme could be used if you want to make modifications to theme files, these are the supported files
