I need advice about a problem I am having with my website becoming slow and at times even non-responsive at all. To give you a little context, the problem started when I changed my hosting plan to a VPS. I contacted my hosting company but they are too slow in responding so I thought I share the issue here in case someone knows something about it and can offer to help. I am not exactly sure what the root cause for the website being extremely slow and non-responsive at times is but I checked the running processes whenever that happens and this is what I found out.
every time a bunch of processes with the command: “php-fpm: pool mywebsite_com” run they seem to consume all the memory and CPU resources and the website becomes sluggish, when I kill the processes things seem to go back to normal.
my question is what exactly is “php-fpm: pool” command?
is it part of the Newspaper theme or my hosting environment?
can it be the reason for the website being sluggish?
any input is highly appreciated!

As far as I know, the command is not from the theme files.
please check if the host settings for the theme match the one in our guide => https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check if the VPS host plan includes extra plugins (security, modules, CDN, etc) that you don’t have before.
Are there differences in settings from the old host to the new one?
