Any chance of adding a block filter option for “random — last X posts”? Some of us who don’t update as frequently might sometimes only have 1 post in the last 7 days, but still want our home page to vary upon refresh. And anyone might want to display a rotation of the few most recent posts they published in particularly category, even if they are not in the last 7 days.

As stated above, there may be more options added in future theme updates, but for the moment you can only choose form the available ones.

The default Popular 7 day sorting sorting will work if you have the post views active and working in the theme panel
