Hey guys
I want to report a problem I’ve been struggling with on Newspaper theme for months now. New line characters are removed in by TD Composer when “Column Text” widget is saved, causing significant effort to re-add these every time content is edited.
To reproduce the issue:
1) Create a new page using TD Composer and add “Column text” component to it.
2) Add some text to the component including new lines. Save the page and close TD Visual Composer. https://prnt.sc/uqicvf
3) Switch to WordPress Edit page dialog. Do any adjustments to the content of the page and Save. https://prnt.sc/uqie7k
4) Open the page in TD Composer again. All new lines in the “Column text” component are removed, causing the layout of the text to change. https://prnt.sc/uqifug
This is extremely frustrating, especially on bigger pages, because it requires us to add all new lines to the “Column text” component again, everytime the page is updated using the WordPress Edit dialog (when you add featured image, work with translations, custom fields, chnage titles or slugs, etc.).
Is there a solution for this?
Hi Anonymous, indeed if you try as you suggested the align we’ll be removed, this is because you make some changes in a page that was made with tagDiv Composer and this builder has a different version (when you save a page in tagDiv Composer it’s making a backup to that page and how is display in editor) therefore when you change something in WordPress and you save the changes tagDiv Composer will display this message -> https://i.imgur.com/yHRfato.png that means that the page has saved using another editor and the content it may be change.
I will make a note to our developers, maybe they will find a way to prevent this.
