I’ve tried to create a new sidebar several times through different methods, but not luck. I enter the name for the new sidebar “Course Sidebar” click “Create” it refreshes but there is no new sidebar.

Hi,
Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
This could be related to the problem you are having. Also please make sure you are not using any special characters in the sidebar name

Thanks
Hi, checked the system status, all green.
As for the name, as per above “Course Sidebar” even tried “Course”.
I tried a few more times and this time it seemed to stick. But it does not show up anywhere for me to add widgets to it??
Furthermore, if I go to the page that should have the new sidebar “Course Sidebar” it shows nothing in Customization mode, whereas it shows the default sidebar on the other pages. So, in other words, even though the dropdown shows it, it’s not really there.
so it looks like even if I have the same settings for WP Super Cache as you guys show in the article, there is something that must cache something in regards to the side bar, because today it popped up under widgets.
Not sure if it’s caching or not. The “Course Sidebar” shows in widgets, I added widgets to it, but they still don’t show on the front end, I cleared the cache several times. Anyone else having problems with sidebars?
I am having same problem, the sidebar does not work, I tried following the instruction in the video, instead of affecting only one block as in the video, it alters the whole page, inserting sidebar from top to bottom.
ok, this seems to be an issue with all widgets now, not sure if it’s the theme, wordpress update or something else. But no widgets are sticking.
Hi,
The theme does not have a problem creating and using any sidebar, and place it wherever you want. In almost all cases plugins or modifications to the theme by any means, are causing issues.
I suggest you deactivate all your plugins except the ones provided in the theme package as a test, and clear any installed cache again if necessary. Then try to create and customize the sidebar.
Thanks
