What does this new theme do to the newspaper development?
Will we just see slowed down feature updates or do you plan to only provide security/compatibility releases in the future?
(Maybe i should ask that after seeing the first weeks of Newsmag sales? 🙂

Does it easily upgrade from newspaper to new theme?

Hi there , I would like the new theme to be much more “beautiful” than newspaper. 😉
I’m sorry but newspaper has a lot of features but it’s not beautiful. Everything is white and white!

In the new theme, it would be nice if you could make it 4 column, 1200px or more and use modern styles not those boring old day styles. You guys use just simple white and black css, make it more sleek, flat and awesome, with some new styles.

I like many themes but they don’t have the features I want. You have features but not very sexy design. 😛
So I hope the next theme will be good enough. All the best 🙂 and I’m sure to buy it as long as there is much improvement in design and css than the newspaper theme.

I must say, the teaser was very bad! Can we have another teaser that shows off the theme nicely? 😀

lol a teaser is so you don’t get to see too much, just makes us want to know more!

Totally agree on styling, the features are really good and the way it’s all been done but i’ve had to custom css the theme like crazy because it was a little dull. But also that can be good so folks like me still have an option to make it the way we want without messing up any of the styles.

Some areas which need work are the bbpress forums and the share buttons. By the way has anyone seen the new slider on the Mashable site? Its so cool wouldn’t mind having something like that!

I will buy the new theme whens it’s released.

I agree with @Shashank Shekhar we need more styling with the theme,because i’ve use so many css code just to make mine not to look boring,because most of every one site i see they all look the same way and that makes it look very boring seeing every one site look the same…i try to make my site stand out more and to make that happen is to use a lot of css code,the coding of the theme is great and the features not so bad but the homepage is boring too me,but other then that the support and theme is great,when the new theme comes out and it not look like newspaper layout then i’ll buy it because i want something different not a copy of the old theme…

Luckily most theme developers show demo sites for people to view what a theme can do prior to purchase, hence no surprises.

Not sure about Shashank’s suggestion. It all well and good having fancy design, but like a good lead generating page, you want useability. As much as say Mashable is popular, I not sure the randomness helps. Also, whitespace is much better for identifying things. As much as I would have wanted something different, this layout is much more user friendly. Stick with it, cant wait to see what you come up with…

OK. I have checked the demo. It looks really nice and once again I love the work of the team but…it really looks like an update and not a new theme.

Moreover, you will start from scratch on theme forest counter…which is really not a good decision. Newspaper is stil marked as “new” and “trending” on theme forest. Why dont you surf on it ?

Have you done a case study on what the best seller do? X has released a totally new version of its theme with new plugins,…

I like the sidebar freeze with the main panel scroll. Cool when the lengths dont match. I think the borders work.
