Newspaper 9.5 theme panel broken

Hi,
I have an issue that appears i don’t know why :
All the theme panel links are dead. Nothing happens when i click on it. (no error message)
So i can’t modify anything.
It never happened for years of use.
Could you help me please ?

Hi,

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully

and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Make sure that the php version is 7.1 or 7.2 not 7.3 also make sure that the wp-memory is at list 256MB.

Hello,
Thank you for the answer.
Just to let you know, it is the SMUSH (images compression) plugin that makes the theme panel stuck.
